After the successful organization of the first FW Croatia in July 2009, Croatia has got an invitation to take part in the exclusive first international forum on the excellence of wine, that will take place at Villa d’Este in Northern Italy from October 30th to November 2nd 2009. With the official name World Wine Symposium and unofficially called The Davos of Wine, to link it to the World Economic Forum.
Wine personalities from the entire world will gather to share opinions, successes, doubts, analyses, experiences and visions for the uncertain future of the world of wine of the 21st century. It will consist of both informal meetings and more formal seminars on current issues of the trade as wine & economy, ecology, the media’s influence on the global trade, new technology & wine, and how we can create synergies across the global wine trade to all stand stronger and better prepared to meet the challenges of the future.
Croatia was invited by the organizers to prepare the lunch on the 1st of November during which top Croatian wines will be presented and before the event there will be a tasting of Croatian wines.
Croatian Chamber of Commerce will be the partner in the event, which is fully supported also by the Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Agriculture.
